The Titleist Vokey SM10 has been hugely popular following the introduction of the new Vokey Design SM10 line. The new WedgeWorks Low Bounce K Grind has now been made available offering versatility, in a low bounce high lofted option, now available in 58-degree and 60-degree lofts and a Raw finish, which also makes getting out of the bunkers that little bit easier.

The Looks

Vokey wedges always look brilliant but with the WedgeWorks K Grind in the raw finish, it just looks amazing. The leading edge is tight with 6 degrees of bounce and its razor sharpness sits flush on ground. It also will give you the versatility of the tight lies to open the face and get the ball landing with the ability to open up the face.

The Tech

Just like the SM10 the CG is high and forward. It is moved up and forward, which provides lower trajectory and a squarer face at impact. The higher CG provides lower trajectory with more spin, especially around the greens for better control. Now by moving the centre of gravity forward it does allow for a squarer at impact more easily at impact, resulting in a tighter dispersion.
The spin milled design is a patented spin milled process that maximises spin with every groove cut to the edge. This delivery consistent spin on approach shots and delivers to the most greenside spin possible. Vokey Wedges hold their quality standards to the highest of standards. Each Vokey wedge is 100% inspected for utmost quality and performance.

“The K grind lives in the bags of some of the world’s best. “It has always been known as the ultimate bunker club. However, when you ask players on tour why they play the K grind, they will tell you not only do they love the performance in the bunkers, but they love the way the leading edge hugs the ground when pitching and chipping.” said Vokey tour representative Aaron Dill

The bunkered Verdict

As some who has hit and tested the SM10 wedges they are brilliant. The CG placement delivers that lower high spinning shot which checks up nicely giving you great control. The grooves are sharp and even from shorter distances you can see the ball check-up and stop faster. With the new K grind what you will find is a tighter leading edge which is ideal when playing firmer courses like links courses. You also have the versatility aspect where you can open the face and be creative with your shot choice from around the greens. Out of bunkers the wider sole gives you that added forgives making it easier to get out of the bunker. It’s a great versatile wedge that will be perfect for shallower attack angles and firmer course conditions.
